What We Do

	Regular Meetings Every Wednesday at 5:30pm at the Mill Restaurant, 120 East Burlington, Iowa City. Exactly WHERE in the restaurant varies from week to week. If you have trouble finding us, one of the waiters can usually point you in the right direction. New members are always welcome, especially if they buy a round of Guinness (but not required)!
	SWAMP SWAMP (SFLIS Wing of Anime and Manga People) has showings of Japanese animation, usually twice a month when the University of Iowa is in session. Go to http://swampanime.dyndns.org for times and locations.
	Movie Nights Occasionally we'll get together after the meeting and watch some SF videos. The videos might be anything - old SF classics, recent hits, foreign films. Movies we've watched in the past include City of Lost Children, Les Visiteurs, and Army of Darkness.
	Miscellaneous Activities We also do miscellaneous, non-regularly scheduled activities, which include gaming, book discussions, SF fests, and going as a group to see new SF movies on opening night.
	Desk SFLIS has a desk in the Student Activities Center in the Iowa Memorial Union. The desk is #73, and needs to be occupied at least 10 hours a week (studying, reading, levitating, whatever). If you are a member and need a quiet(?) place, be there!
