Science Fiction League of Iowa Students

The Science Fiction League of Iowa Students, or SFLIS for short (just say it out loud for chuckles), is a student group at the University of Iowa, founded many many years ago by a few interesting folks (Joe Haldeman among them) who were unhappy with the situation of the world.  Not being able to do anything about it, they decided to forget their problems, meet every Wednesday night at a bar that serves food, and discuss fandom-related stuff. Today SFLIS still meets at the same place, on the same night, and talks about the same stuff. Gee, sounds like we all need to get lives!

These days, SFLIS meets just about every Wednesday evening at 5:30 pm at the Mill Restaurant in Iowa City.  We also get together for things like gaming, book discussions, movies, and anime showings.  Check out the links below for more information.
