SFLIS Minutes - July 28, 2004 - The minutes are kind of short this week because the secretary was 45 minutes late. - There was lots of talk about movies that we're frightened to see but probably will anyway. Alien vs. Predator, Catwoman, etc. - Minky Momo import DVD! "The Bridge for Your Tomorrows" and "The Station of Your Memories." And contains a song that repeats the syllable "mo" a lot. - Some articles were passed around, including one about 10 things about bad SF. - A shovel is demonstrated. Sturdy yet collapsible. You can disassemble it and store it in a box. - Planck's Constant whining, and other physics puns. A neutron goes into a bar and orders a drink, asks the bartender "How much do I owe you?" The bartender says, "For you, no charge!" Two atoms run into each other. One says to the other, "Oh no, I think I've lost an electron." The other says, "Are you sure?" The first one replies, "I'm positive!" - Thunderbirds live action movie is coming out soon. Is anyone interested in seeing it? - The end.
