Then it will be fun to make fun of. - Catherine and Marty were in the paper Sunday, quoted in an article about anime and manga. There was a picture of Daydreams too. - At the anime showing on July 11, there will be a planning meeting for the event that isn't Marty Gras. Maybe we'll call it the University of Iowa Anime Event (UOIAE). The abbreviation contains all the vowels and is a lot of fun to try to pronounce. So, what types of positions are people interested in? - There are rumors of a live action Astro Boy and live action Akira movie. - From The Onion: "Riverboat Horseracing Fails Utterly" and "Reagan Pyramid Nears Completion." - We have a brief discussion of whether the power companies are trying to kill off the amateur radio operators. And how commercial radio stations are having more and more commercials and smaller and smaller playlists. Then there are neo radio stations, with huge playlists, where DJs can play whatever they want. Fewer commercials and they charge more for them, but they're getting more and more listeners. - We're going to see Spiderman 2 tonight at Coral Ridge. The 7pm show. That means we should leave pretty soon, so we do.
