SFLIS Minutes - May 26, 2004 - Big news! FOX unveils a new promotional tshirt! - From madville.com, pictures of one letter from the logos of a bunch of 80s and 90s video games. Guess which games they came from. - Diagrams of something with lots of gears are passed around. Made by the Rohloff company in Germany. Nobody here can guess what it is. It's a gear box from a 14-speed bicycle. Sells for about $1000. - The request has been submitted for a room in Poppajohn for the summer anime showings. Not approved yet, but it's been submitted. There haven't been any more comments from the people in charge about the food situation. - Now we talk about some ideas for a hot dish for the Mindbridge picnic. How about pop tarts roasted over the grill? Would that qualify? Or how about stealing a bowl from K-Mart and bringing it. That would be a 'hot' dish too. Speaking of Mindbridge, there's a Mindbridge meeting next week. - Creative Marty signs are passed around. With unusual spellings. 'Mardy the devil,' 'Mardy is bab,' etc. They were made by some rather young artists. No idea where they got those ideas. This leads to a discussion of ways to keep a 5-year old busy. - What is 'gashopan?' It's something from Japan. It's not in the dictionary. - Question: Do you collect anything and if so, what? - And we're done.
