But he's probably been forced to go underground by now. - AnimeIowa 2004 will be at the Hotel Fort Des Moines, Sept. 16-18. They were selling prereges at ICON. - Posters for the Soul Calibur tournament: what is and isn't appropriate. No scantily-clad women or women "nipping out." Don't say you want to give people SFLIS. Tournament is Nov. 1 at Schaeffer Hall. Probably room 30, noon to 8pm. There's a charge for being in the tournament, but hanging out is free. There might be a registration deadline for the tournament. - An article on "Why Star Trek Sucks" is passed around. - ICON happened last weekend. We got rid of all the cheese balls. Cheesy poofs were EVERYWHERE! At registration, gaming, anime room, a cheesy poof sculpture panel, masquerade prizes, etc. There was some disagreement with the hotel staff for closing the consuite at 2am. Still looking for a concom for next year, but it sounds like some people might have expressed interest. The body count was 412 or something like that. Not sure exactly. One of the guests bought some children's art. Art made by children, that is. - Video gaming in Poppajohn on Dec. 14. There will be an inflatable couch there that was used in Demicon's anime room. - Gunslinger Girls, Bottle Fairies, and other new anime series with amusing or unusual names are starting in Japan now. - And now we have a demonstration of an icicle hitch. A knot on a pool cue that can't be pulled off. - We're going to have elections sometime in less than a month. - That's it for this week.
