SFLIS Minutes - February 12, 2003

- Gamicon is this weekend.
- We're showing Avalon tonight after the meeting, 7pm in the IMU.
  Direct digital transfer from the DVD to the screen.
- A schedule for the Gamicon anime room is passed around.
  People will be playing games at Gamicon.
  And you're welcome to volunteer for something if you want.
  How many hit points would people have if they were D&D characters?
  Some people would have "cool" points instead.
- A flexible, foldable computer keyboard.
- Hamlet, a game in 5 acts, at Gamicon.  Sponsored by ICON 28.
  Over 100 people have signed up for Gamicon so far.
- Jackie Chan is going to be in a new "Around the World in 80 Days" movie.
- Back to Gamicon Moo, there will be Battle Cattle there.
  And maybe Unexploded Cow.
  Jolly Blackburn is guest of honor.
  Quote:  "Apples to Apples is the best game ever!"
- Wylde Nept will be at the Mill on Feb. 22.
- SFLIS is going to do something in May but we don't know what yet.
- April 7 is Astro Boy's birthday.
  Oct. 23 is Mole Day.  (the chemistry mole, that is)
  Darwin was born sometime this week.  He will be speaking at....  Ok, since
  he's dead, someone else will be giving the presentation in his place.
