Would anyone like the lyrics to the official SFLIS birthday song? - 3 weeks from now is movie night where we will probably be showing Avalon, a Japanese movie that has the Polish militray in it! And 2 weeks from now is the next Mindbridge meeting. - Who's getting a hotel room for Gamicon? It's official: Nothing will be happening in Josh's hotel room. - This month's Newtype magazine (the American version) has a sample DVD from AD Vision. It also has a centerfold and postcards. - SF news of the week has 4 pages of Buffy and Angel stuff. An interesting article in the Onion: Kim Jong II Unfolds into Giant Robot. - There will be anime at Gamicon. Gamicon Mooooo is Feb. 14-16. You must be accompanied by a cow to get in. Don't have a cow, but bring one. They will "kill the fatted calf" and have a great feast afterwards. Or we could be making all of this up. - One of Meredith's professors is a former military officer of a former Warsaw Pact nation. - Starship Troopers was a good movie! We spend a few minutes expressing our disagreement with the above statement. - The meeting is officially over.
