SFLIS Minutes - October 16, 2002 - SFLIS officer elections will be November 6. - Some suggestions for what to do with the XXXXX-large tshirts in the storage locker. - Why does the university keep giving us our constitution from 1989 and saying we need a new one when we've submitted at least two since then? - ICON is in Cedar Rapids this weekend. Chance of snow Thusday, then warmer Friday and Saturday - all the way up to the 50s! We think the opening ceremonies will be at 7. There will be a TICC skit, one of the best ones they've done. - We had a movie night last week - Evil Dead 2. Some comments: "It was perfect." "Best Evil Dead movie I've ever seen." So, what should we show in November? Suggestions include Army of Darkness, Shrek, Donnie Darko (?), Silverwings, Thunderbirds Go, Spiderman, Wizards, Willow, the KOR movie, Bloodlust. Oops, those last two are anime. Or the Lord of the Rings. The good one from last year or the animated one from the 70s? Or the Batman movie from the 60s. Should we show something really bad or really good? - Only two people at the meeting today are under 30. How many SFLIS members are under 30? Who's the oldest person here? - KCRG is doing a live remote broadcast just a couple blocks from here. Should we run over there and help them out? - Now we have some talk about what to show in the anime room at ICON. - And then a discussion of DVD players and what DVD formats they can and can't play. Then computer video display emulators. - And that's it.
