SFLIS Minutes - October 9, 2002

- Movie night tonight.  And we will be watching Evil Dead 2.
- Some articles from the Onion are passed around:  "X-Files Fan Killed for
  Knowing too Much," "Science Guy Bill Nye Killed in Massive Vinegar/Baking
  Soda Explosion,"  and more.
- DemiCon is at the Hotel Fort Des Moines next year.  Which is why it costs
  a little more than previously.  But it IS a nice hotel.
- ICON is in Cedar Rapids, starting a week from Friday.
- New season of anime is starting in Japan right now.
- Anime that might be shown at ICON this year:  all episodes of Crest of the
  Stars, 12 Countries, or Saishuheiki Kanojo.  Probably at least one of those
  three.
  And we come up with lots of other suggestions, both good and bad.
- And that's about it for this week's meeting.  Not much going on right now,
  except for ICON, which will probably be mentioned more prominently next
  week.
