SFLIS Minutes - October 2, 2002

- What should we show at our movie night next week?
  Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Night of the Lepus, The Blob, Escape from
  Mars, Invaders from Mars, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, Earth Girls
  are Easy.
  Ok, we should probably limit this to movies that we're sure we can
  actually get.  Should we show good movies or bad?
  How about a good B-movie.
  Army of Darkness, Barbarella, THX-1138, Evil Dead 2.
  We do a quick vote, and it looks like we'll be showing Evil Dead 2.
- ICON has just about the whole hotel this year.  Much more space than
  last year.
- See Spirited Away if you have a chance.  Lots of good reviews.  We hope
  it will find its way into this part of the country sometime in the near
  future.
- There's a Mindbridge AnimeIowa committee meeting going on right now.
  And the regular Mindbridge meeting is right after SFLIS tonight.
- Is Joe Haldeman going to speak at the IMU this fall?  We have some
  reservation forms, budget forms, approval forms, a contract, etc. that
  all need to be filled out and signed if we're going to do it.  We should
  probably find out for sure pretty soon.
