SFLIS Minutes - February 6, 2002

- Michele describes her experiences from the past couple weeks.
- Colorized anime fliers on heavy paper are passed around.
- A Red Dwarf rpg may be in the works.  There's one for Buffy too.
- We start the meeting.
- Gamicon will be at the Sheraton 4 Points in Cedar Rapids next year.
  Should have the contract signed by the end of the month.
  Notice that this is NEXT year and should not be confused with the event
  going on this weekend, which is......
- Gamicon Lite is at the IMU this weekend, Feb. 8-10.  Admission is $0.00
  at the door, which everyone should be able to afford.
  Yes, it's free, so nobody can use money as an excuse for not showing up.
- We love DMSFS.  They're our friends.
- SAGA constitution is once again hung up on a technicality.
  They're planning to get a flyer out soon.  SFLIS isn't able to help with
  copying costs right now, but some ways of doing them cheaply are suggested.
- 2 new people arrive!
- Next anime show is 2 weeks from this weekend.  In other words, on the 24th.
- Pictures of the Maakestads' baby are passed around.  Born at 7:48am on
  Jan. 26, name is Rhianna Nicole.
- There's a budget, and we're requesting stuff for it.
  We want a new desk in addition to the one we have now.  Or shelves going
  all the way to the ceiling, more room for books.
  Or maybe SAGA could get the desk right next to ours and we could use some
  of their space.
  Our desk is #73.
- Now there's a discussion about the art building having character.
- And lots of random discussions take place to fill up the time until 6:30
  when the Mindbridge meeting starts.
