SFLIS Minutes - August 7, 2002

- We try to remember what suggestions were made for the SFLIS flyer last week.
- Everyone is quiet right now because they're tired.
- Scantily-clad pasta.  Use to be naked but now has a bit of parmesan cheese
  on it.  We have a discussion of the merits of naked pasta and, if the pasta
  is scantily-clad, what's best on it.
- SFLIS movie night after the meeting next week.  In the IMU somewhere.
  We'll be watching X-Men and/or Shrek.
- We're going to try to have a video game night this fall.
- The AnimeIowa prereg deadline was July 31.  637 people have preregistered
  so far.  We have the entire hotel this year, which should be enough space.
  They're hoping that the new convention center in Coralville is finished
  before the con outgrows the Collins Plaza.  Or maybe attendance will level
  off soon.  No more advertising for the time being.
- We don't have any money for SFLIS/SWAMP Fest but that's probably ok.  We've
  done it without money before.  We haven't even started planning it yet.
- A couple news articles are passed around.  A person convicted of murdering
  someone as part of a vampire ritual and "Overclocked House Needs Extra
