SFLIS Minutes - October 10, 2001

- Ok, I'm a little late posting this so when you see references to ICON in
  here, remember - it's already happened.  (But then you already knew that.)
- Volunteers are needed for ICON.  Meet at the storage unit at 8:30 Friday
  morning.  If necessary, the concom will be happy to call your employer and
  tell them you're dead so you can skip work that day.
- Any new news?
  Nunu (?) is a character on Teletubbies.
  We have a discussion of Teletubbies and its merits.  It's not that bad
  really.  Maybe we should have a panel on it at ICON.
  (I was asked to strike this from the minutes, but I didn't.)
- We have a display case in the IMU for a week in December.  What should
  we put in it?
- What should we do with the person who started the Teletubbies discussion?
- Buffy premier was ok if you don't mind staying up till 2am.
  Season premier of Charmed was pretty bad.
- People talk about different types of plastic and the people who helped with
  last year's D&D world tour.
- Movie night tonight.  8pm in the Hoover room in the IMU.  We'll watch Time
  Bandits and maybe Ewoks, the Battle for Endor.
- Does SFLIS have any money?
- Winter PIF RPGA event is sometime around Dec. 8.
- ICON was last weekend, but nobody showed up (just kidding).
  ICON is this weekend.  There will be original oil paintings in the art show.
  It's a SFLIS tradition that at the meeting before ICON we elect next year's
  concom.  If nobody wants to do it, the job falls to the president.  Also,
  if you want to run Gamicon, you'll get into ICON for free!
  Or we might give that job away as a prize at ICON.
  And we think up some more bizarre ways of recruiting people for concom.
- Recommendations for next month's movie:  Delicatessan, City of Lost Children,
  Barbarella, Killdozer, Earth Girls are Easy, Hell Comes to Frogtown....
  We're leaning towards City of Lost Children right now.
- There's a Mindbridge meeting on Saturday at ICON.  THIS is where you really
  go if you're interested in running ICON or Gamicon next year.
- And once again, we all agree that we should organize an expedition to see
  Lord of the Rings when it comes out.
- We make plans for the Throw Josh in the Pool party at ICON.  Also some
  unusual things to do with condoms.
- Somebody asks what time it is.  It's 6:15.
- Anime show was last weekend.  And next weekend, but not on the same weekend
  as ICON, but there will be anime at ICON.
- They Might Be Giants is at the IMU tomorrow.
- We decide that the next 3 people to leave are on concom for next year.
  It's going to be a lonnnngggg meeting.....
  Ok, Ed, Sarah, and Doug are on concom.  We'll tell them at the next
  meeting.
- Now it's safe for the rest of us to leave, so we do.
