SFLIS Minutes - November 21, 2001

- Star Trek 'Planet of Judgement' book.  The author hadn't heard of Star
  Trek when he was first asked to write it.
- Movie night last week.  3 people attended and watched City of Lost Children.
  There are 6 people here who didn't show up for it.  What should we do as
  punishment?
  Next time, let's watch Galaxy Quest in Thermian with French subtitles.
  We just might do that.  But maybe with English subtitles instead of
  French.
  Next movie night is Dec. 12, location not known yet, but probably in the IMU
  somewhere.
- We're in the room with the tv this week.  Homer Simpson is riding a
  motorcycle through the school, then in church.
- Still working on getting SAGA off the ground.  Anyone want to sign up to
  be a warm body on the list they present to the university?  A signup sheet
  is passed around.  It might not be absolutely necessary to be a student.
- We discuss the burning of the Old Capital dome yesterday, and how the fire
  might have started.  (No comments about the Old Capital TOASTmasters, please.
  Oops.  I guess that was one.  Oh well...)
- Jamaican chocolates and final exams.
- Book discussion at Barnes&Noble tonight.  Daughter of the Empire.  They will
  also be deciding on next month's book.
- Star Wars trailer is good, bad, and indifferent.
- Anime fliers are handed out.
- Weather on channel 9.  Ahead of everyone else, high-tech, sophisticated
  equipment, and they remind you of that every 5 minutes.
- Dominion Tank Police role playing game, Winter pif, gaming, and how to
  pronounce GaoGaiGar.
