SFLIS Minutes - May 9, 2001

- No president here this week, so who wants to take charge of the meeting?
  Nobody will admit to being in charge.
- If we want to spend the rest of our money, we have to do it by May 24.
  Most of it has to be used for advertising and copying.  And it has to
  be done at a place that will take the university's blue req forms.
- Retro Hugos - award nominees for 1950.
- TV/Movies:
  A possible Xena/Spiderman crossover.
  Incubus is coming to DVD.
  How about William Shatner's Incubus in Esperanto?
  A live action Scooby-doo movie.
  Shrek, Angel, and who's going to die next on Buffy.
  The Mummy Returns:  If you go to it with low expectations, it's pretty
  good.  Better than Dungeons & Dragons, anyway.
- Demicon went pretty well.  The TICC skit was really funny.
- There are some things going on this summer.
  Anime Central is this weekend.
  There's a gaming con somewhere on June 9-10.  Summer Pif.
  A small anime con in Michigan June 22-24.
  Anime Iowa Aug. 24-26.
  And there will also be......
- Anime shows in C107 Pappajohn.  May 20, June 3, June 17, July 1, and
  one other in July, but I didn't catch the date.
- There will be a Mindbridge something-or-other sometime this summer.
- Naked lubricated pasta with grit.
- Any other news?  ICON's going to happen in October.
- And we all get up to leave.
