Lots of discussion of books, authors like Weber, Heinline, Turtledove, alternate histories. - Naked pasta again. Lubrication. - At the Los Angeles zoo, an elephant died. The zoo closed for a day so the employees could get grief counseling. Do they do this when any animal dies? Bet they don't have any lemmings there. - SifCon is April 15. Easter is on a Sunday this year. Some things we will probably have there: Cell painting class, anime Name That Tune, hall costume contest. We need a secret judge for the hall costume contest. What's allowed in the costume contest? Remember, this will be in a public area - anyone could walk in. Video games. Do we have any? Not yet. Any other panels are welcome, too. Bring your own ideas. Like...... Star Trek trivia Simpsons trivia Ways to cook local duck. Duck for dinner? Chocolate bunnies with fake rabbit turds. What would work best - Cocoa Puffs, chocolate chipa, or Cocoa Pebbles? Probably Cocoa Pebbles. Cooking contest - who can bring the weirdest food. And if you lose, you have to eat it. But we've agreed not to serve outside food there. How about if we require everyone to buy their ingredients in the IMU? Pizza place races: call all of them at the same time and see who gets here first. Call for the police, ambulance, and pizza at the same time, see who arrives first. If we order police and donuts, which would arrive first? Design your own crap for the Iowa River. Or identify some of the stuff that's already there. How many rubber duckies wide is the river? Or use ping pong balls to measure it. All watercraft must be made of Star Wars action figures. Put Jar-jar Binks in liquid nitrogen, then drop him from the 3rd floor window. Can we get the ICON concom to do a panel about ICON? We could have a Mindbridge meeting at the same time! And how about getting the concoms from Gamicon and AnimeIowa to do panels, too. Who's the lamest science fiction bad guy? - Nitro glycerine is used for chest pains and oil well fires. - There's a book discussion at Barnes & Noble in about 40 minutes. Helm by Stephen Gould.
