- Walked in on the middle of a conversation about a giant tumor under
  New York, then a giant tuber under New York, and an alien Dalai Lama.
- Anime Iowa will be happening.  Deadline for pregistering is coming up
  in a few days.  Then the price goes up.

- Embryonic stem cell testing - what will the government decide?
  Liposuction.
  Where does McDonald's get their fat?
  Comparing the debate on stem cell testing to the debate on the RU-486
  abortion pill.

- Planet of the Apes opens on Friday.
- An A/V matrix switcher for sale on ebay.
- The Japanese space agency is experimenting with vertical takeoff,
  vertical landing rockets.  Just a small prototype right now.
  And we have a discussion of other types of experimental rockets -
  horizontal takeoff and landing (like a plane), etc.
- Does anyone still sell Micro Machines toys?
- Channel 9 showed the same late-night episodes of Deep Space 9 two
  weeks in a row.  Appartnely, not too many people noticed.  They're not
  the most memorable episodes anyway.  Maybe their programming guy really
  liked them?
- We're hoping to get the writers' group started up again this fall.
  How about having our own Bulwer-Lytton contest, worst possible opening
  sentence for a novel.  "It was a dark and stormy night...."
- An idea for a special role playing game where rolling low numbers is
  an advantage.
- How many uses can you find for pens and markers without taking the
  caps off?
- Pinball machines, and we're done.
