Why does it always have to be just one of the three? - Movies and TV: Bruce Campbell in Bubba Hotep. Possible sequel to 'The Lost Boys.' Likely title is 'The Lost Girls.' Dune set a ratings record for the SciFi Channel. Talk about bad acting and winged costumes in the Dune movie. Cedar Rapids has the Sci Fi Channel. La Femme Nikita - they're showing the last 8 episodes on Sundays. Couchin Tiger Hidden Dragon, martial arts movie. Will it play here? It's scheduled to open in Minneapolis on the 12th. Getting good reviews and doing very well at the limited number of theaters that it's at right now. Next Star Wars movie: Rumor has it that it will be called "Episode 2," and there will be many marketing opportunities available. FX is showing all the X-Files episodes again. Next week there's a new Angel. Week after is a new Buffy. - Anime daycare at ICON. That's where all the kids went, anyway. But that doesn't mean there will be nothing but kids videos shown. Kids want to watch stuff that they're not supposed to see or stuff they can't understand. - People in Seattle built a black monolith for 2001. We don't have homicidal computers now. Or do we? - Old Dominion Freight Lines - they really exist. - Gamicon is the last week of February. Still don't know about Cy-Con. - AnimeIowa staff meeting is coming up. Nobody here is on staff, so not sure of the time and place. There hasn't been any news for a while. - Mindbridge had a board meeting (Borg meeting? Bored meeting?). A couple people were there. There will be another one sometime. There are no special requirements for joining SFLIS, Mindbridge, or any other affiliated organizations. - Marty gets the Best Toy award this week for the noise putty.
