SFLIS Minutes - December 12, 2001 - Plans for heckling the Lord of the Rings movie? Kind of like what people do with the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Just kidding. - People order food. - Somebody here was 6 in 1989. There are some chemicals in the storeroom at the hospital that are older than that. One might even be from the 1800s. - Vampire Hunter D II: Bloodlust is in English with Japanese subtitles. - $6.50 for the Lord of the Rings next week. Money is being collected right now (or next Wednesday for those of us who forgot). Next Wednesday, the 19th, come to SFLIS at 5:30, stay for Mindbridge, then go see the Lord of the Rings. Come to Mindbridge to find out who's running ICON and Gamicon. Who knows, it might be you! ICON needs a volunteer coordinator. That's the only position not filled yet. - There are lots of random conversations going on right now. - SWAMP is finished for the semester. Next anime show will probably be on Jan. 27, but we don't have a room yet. A new issue of SWAMP Gas is out. If SWAMP were to average more than 40 people at the shows, they would be "events" instead of "meetings" and would require filling out a different set of forms. So how do the really big groups have meetings? - The Lord of the Rings movie has characters speaking in different dialects with subtitles. We try to list the other books that Tolkein wrote. - We have some more random conversations, then people start to leave.
