SFLIS MINUTES - FEBRUARY 24, 1999

- Mail:  We got most of the rooms that we asked for in the IMU for our
  activities for the next couple months.
- Student activities fair is Thursday March 4, 12-3 in the Landmark Lobby,
  IMU.  The letter was written on Feb. 10.  It took until this week for it
  to make its way from an office in the IMU to the Student Activities
  Center, which is also in the IMU.
  Campaign brochures for student elections.
  Concerts at the Wheelroom.
  Study abroad in Ireland.
- The SFLIS schedule for March was passed around.  We're still taking
  suggestions for an after-meeting activity on March 31.  How about an
  Alice in Wonderland party?
- Leftover Cy-Con flyers were passed around.
- Who wants to sit at the SFLIS table at the Student Activities Fair?
  We're going to have a Lost in Space robot, props, games, displays,
  whatever anyone wants to bring.  Try to decide by next Wednesday.
  Once again, it's Thursday March 4, 12-3 in the Landmark Lobby, IMU.
- We could use a few more people for IPTV's Festival.  That's Friday
  March 12.  Answer phones, eat lots of food, swat Mike Frisby.
  Talk to Steve if you're interested.
- Gamicon is 2 days from now.  Volunteer.  If you're not committed, now's
  the time to be committed.  Cool prizes for volunteers.

- Anime:  Had a survey at Sunday's show.  Come to next week's meeting to
  hear the results.  Find out what happens to Marty's hair.
  Next show is Sunday March 7.
- Student election monitors for March 1 and 2.  If we can have 4 people
  there during those times, we'll get $200.  There's a possiblity of
  splitting the time with another group, like ISCA.
  It does't look like we'll have enough people available for enough of the
  time to do it, so it looks like we'll have to pass on this one.
- Movie night:  What to show next time?  How about Darkstar or Monty
  Python and the Holy Grail?  Other ideas are welcome.  Email Jeremy
  Hitchcock with your suggestions.
- A Mindbridge board meeting was scheduled for March 6, but it's probably
  been postponed.  The date of the general meeting is yet to be decided.
- Gaming at Legends after the meeting tonight, including Star Wars trivia,
  Silent Death, and Great Dalmuti.
- Next week:  We're eating together at the Mill after next week's meeting.
  And there will be "hijinks," too.  Come and find out what they are.
