SFLIS Minutes
SFLIS MINUTES - FEBRUARY 17, 1999
- A quote from the meeting: "The reason SFLIS has fallen into a decline
in recent years is that it's a social organization composed of antisocial
people."
- Flash Gordon will be/was shown after the meeting, at 6:30, room 345 of
the IMU.
- Mail: Student organizations have a chance to earn $200. All they have
to do is have 4 people monitor the student elections from 9am-7pm March
1 and 2. Anybody interested in doing it? Even if you can only be there
for an hour or two, it will help.
- SFLIS desk signup sheet was passed around. We need people there 10 hours
a week.
- Signup sheet for the SFLIS table at Gamicon was passed around. It's right
next to the registration desk, so you can hang out with all the wonderful
people working there.
- A schedule of potential activities for March was passed around for
approval and proofreading. When finalized, it will be posted at the
desk and passed out at cons. Maybe even posted online.
- On March 13, a local RPGA network club, The Fellowship, is holding a
game day at Legends. 11am until 8 or 9.
- Only 9 days until Gamicon. T-shirt art sample was passed around.

"Somewhat menacing, but very, very cool."
125 prereges so far.
20 tables for dealers, all kinds of games, Quake, miniature painting
contest, lots more.
- The soundtrack for "The Phantom Menace" comes out in April.
- Should we try to arrange a special showing of Phantom Menace when the
movie comes out? Or would it cost too much? In any case, we should
definitely go to see it as a group.
- We now officially have the back room of the Mill reserved on the first
Wednesday of every month. We will be eating there as a group on those
days (at least, those people who want to stay and est), and the waitstaff
will be expecting us.
And we will continue meeting there on all the other Wednesdays, like
we have been. We just won't have it reserved.
- That's it. See you at the movie!
