Does anyone wayt to be a student advisor, help new students adjust
to life on campus?
- There's something going on this weekend, it seems. Now what was it again?
ICON volunteer sign up sheets were passed around. Prizes for
volunteers!
Come on Thursday any time after 1 and help set up the art show, huxters
room, put up signs, etc. There will be food.
(I guess it's a little late for that now, but if you can find a time
machine....)
TICC needs frisbees for opening ceremonies. Bring them any time before
5pm on Friday. If you put your name on them, they will be returned to you.
They promise that relatively few of the frisbees will end up pregnant.
- Book signings Thursday night: Forrest Ackerman at Barnes & Noble, 8pm.
Charles DeLint at Prairie Lights, 7pm.
- Gamicon: There's a new newsletter out. It hit the stores on Tuesday, and
they said, "Ouch!" Newsletter will be available at ICON.
- ICON volunteer sheets were passed around a second time.
- Anime: There was a pretty good turnout at the show Sunday.
(Somebody pointed out that "pretty good" is a little vague, so for the
next show we are expecting a detailed statistical analysis.)
Next show is Oct. 25, with Halloween stuff.
The schedule for the anime room at ICON is done.
There's news about AnimeIowa '99, but they aren't at liberty to
tell anyone what it is.
- Movie puppies: no.
- TV puppies: Voyager is on FOX at 9 pm Saturday, or after the World
Series game ends.
New Babylon5 on Oct. 28.
Deep Space 9 is new.
The XFiles video is out.
- That's it.
