SFLIS MINUTES - SEPTEMBER 9, 1998

Wow, bright lights for the meeting today. Probably so the people can see
as they're setting up equipment in the next room for the band that will be
performing later.
- Before the meeting began, there was a discussion of the Pinky and the Brain
  camp counselor episode.
- Mail! We got a letter this week, dated Aug. 7, about registering for the
student activities fair. Speaking of which....
- There was a student activities fair this afternoon, and SFLIS had a
table there, talked to some students, passed out information.
We need to keep some flyers for ICON, Gamicon, etc. at the SFLIS desk
to use for occasions like this.
- Gamicon: 3/4 of the concom is here again! Gamicon will buy pizza for
everyone if at least one new person shows up for the meeting. (Oh, the
  suspense).
  Gamicon Lite is Sunday Sept. 27, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. in the IMU.
If you have something you want to do there, get your request in sometime
  in the next few days.
- Anime: There will be a silly anime show this Sunday, C125 PBAB, 1-8 p.m.
AnimeIowa - schedules are done. A couple more dealers have signed up at
the last minute. They need volunteers. No sign up sheets today, but
you can sign up at the show Sunday or at next week's meeting, or at the
  con.
- Mindbridge/ICON: Hotel confirmations have been sent out. You should
receive yours soon, if you haven't already. Both hotels are full.
Over 260 people registered already. A tenative program schedule is
  up on the web page.
Rehearsals for the TICC skit are held in the English Philosophy building
Wednesdays at 7. If you're interested, show up, even if you haven't
been to any of the other rehearsals. All participants will receive a
  nifty TICC cast button.
