- Gregg Parmentier found a job in the Twin Cities.
- Old business:  There isn't any.
- ICON:  If you want a hotel room, get your request in now.  There are
  no more king size rooms, but the others are still available.
  If you've registered, you should be getting some mail from them soon, if
  you haven't already.
  There was some talk about skinny dipping in the pool at ICON 1, and why
  ICON wasn't held at the Ironman again until now, after the owner and the
  name had changed.  Is it time to do it again?
- There's a picture of Biljon in the latest Asimov magazine.  Could he be
  the Bill Johnson who won the Hugo for "We'll Drink a Fish Together"?
- The TICC skit tryout/rehearsal will be held on Aug. 26, hopefully in
  the IMU.  Time to be announced.
- Mindbridge:  The membership meeting will be Saturday Sept. 26 at 3 p.m.
  in room 234 of the Clarion hotel in Coralville.
  On the Mindbridge website last week there were 6 hits on the link to
  Amazon, resulting in one purchase - a Violent Femmes CD.
- AnimeIowa:  96 prereges so far.  There are only 6 hotel rooms left for
  Friday and Saturday, so make your reservations soon.
  Lynda is looking for people to help make a P-chan pinata for AnimeIowa.
- This Sunday (the 16th), there will be an anime show/barbecue/etc. at
  Marty's starting at noon.
- Gamicon Lite is Sept. 27, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. on the 3rd floor of the IMU.
  There's a possibility of free RPGA events.
- Movies:  The Avengers opens this weekend.  Not sure where.
  Somebody has announced that the new Star Wars movie next year will initially
  be released only to theaters that have the latest video/sound system
  technology.  Unless they change their minds.  We'll have to wait and see.
  Blade opens next week.
  Antz comes out in October.  Woody Allen does the voice of the main character.
- Gen Con:  Lots of fun, something everyone should go to at least once.
  The architect who designed the place went wild - lots of wasted space.
  But it looked really nice.  The dealers area was smaller than in previous
  years.  The They Might Be Giants concert was rained out.  How many They
  Might Be Giants songs can you name?
- Motion to adjourn.  After a short wait, someone finally got around to
  seconding it.  But nobody leaves.
