SFLIS MINUTES - FEBRUARY 4, 1998
For variety we decided to hold the meeting in a different part of the Mill.
Actually, it was decided for us. That hadn't happened for a while, so I
guess we were due.
- Gammacon happens in a little over two weeks. There's even an ad in the
Add Sheet. (yes, I can spell Gamicon.)
- Gamicon program book is due on the 13th. If you have an ad, you need to
turn it in before then.
- Gamicon needs volunteers. There are sign up sheets going around.
Setup begins about 3 p.m. Friday. People are also needed for the auction,
takedown, and a lot of other things. Sign up often. Fill in all the blank
lines.
- Gamicon has 116 prereg's, breaking last year's record of 115.
- Gamicon GM party this Saturday (the 7th) at 3:30 at the IMU, Ohio State room.
If you want prizes for games you are running, they have plenty.
- Voting on the Gamicon Iota concom continues for one more week, until the
Feb. 11 SFLIS meeting. Only one bid so far - Jon Maakestad, Becky Benhart,
Jeremy Hitchcock, Galen Silversmith.
- Minnicon is April 10 - 12. The hotel is (slowly) mailing out confirmations
of room reservations. If you don't get yours soon, it might be a good
idea to call and ask about it.
- SFLIS got two pieces of mail this week. They were passed around.
- Plattecon Lambda gaming convention and anime festival is March 6 - 8, in
Platteville, WI.
- Anime show Sunday Feb. 8, C107 Pappajohn Buisness Adm. Bldg. 1 - 8 p.m.
Show up and vote on the next series to go through. Irresponsible Captain
Tyler, Nadesico, Escaflowne, and more to choose from.
- From here, the meeting degenerated into discussions about where to eat.
