SFLIS Minutes September 10, 1997

• 1 week out from the Con Com vote. Candidates are Andy, Sue, and Dave All other folks who want to bid have a week to come forth.
• New officer elections are 1 week after Icon.
• There are over 250 preregs for Icon. The hotel is full. We've sold 35 t-shirts. Overflow hotel is the Expressway Inn, and the hotel will refer you. We may have a shuttle from the Expressway to the con hotel.
• Various speakers on campus in student mail. Harold Kushner is coming to campus Sept 15 at 7:30 in the Union Main Lounge. Peter J. Kreeft will also hold various religion oriented talks over the course of the week.
• TIC will be rehearsing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays after SIF. This year's production is Fen in Black. Lots of warm bodies are needed.
• AnimeIowa is soon. Fingernails are shortening and much antacid is being consumeed.
• October Anime show schedules are out. The October shows surround the Icon show. Lots of Anime action in October. SWAMP got some new members this last showing.
• Next week we discuss John M. Ford's Final Reflection.
• SMAUG is now meeting in the Wisconsin Room at the Union because of heavy traffic in its former spot.
