Kyo no sifu nooto wa nihongo de kaite imasu...
Whoops! Sorry. That's for four days from now or so.
Gamicon reports that James Ernest will be their guest of honor. He is
Mr. Cheap Ass Games himself, and also the designer of the Xenophile card game.
Happy Late Birthday Michele. Happy Early Birthday Catherine and
Gregg.
oJon bought an article about the Mars stuff. BTW, upcoming Mars party
tentatively date September 13.
SIF Fest info from Henry. CAN'T have a room at the Union for this
weekend's SIF Fest since the Union closes at one.
BUT here's an alternative. On Sunday at 1, come to Cedar Rapids for a
combination SIF Fest/Goodbye party for Cath as she heads off to Japan for the
summer. Bring something to cook out, and something to drink, and anything else
you feel like. The whole group will congregate at 369 17th St SE at 1, leave to
see Lost World, and come back after the film for serious grilling action. Need
directions? Call 362-2153, or ask Lynda, Jon, or Michele.
Of course, it goes without saying that Lost World is out this
weekend.
TV: The Borg on Voyager. Mulder is Dead! But Barbara Walters talks to
him anyway. (hmmm)
Also, see David Duchovny on the Big Screen playing David Duchovny in
Playing God. Coming soon to a theatre near you.
Henry, God of Roadways, says that the highway department made a
correction in our road's location. So, it's south now instead of north. And
he's going to check into closer locations first, for longevity's sake.
Anime. This Sunday. Mecha from 2-10 in C107 Pappajohn. A few of the
next show's themes: June 6: WW2 Tearjerkers. June 20: Bad Cooking. July is
Schizoid month: Fighting Anime and Magical Girls. Dragon Ball Z versus Sailor
Moon. Which is the Deadlier Threat? You decide!
Preregs for Anime Iowa still be taken! You can pick up the forms at
Daydreams.
And watashi wa inaku narimashita. Nihon e ikimashoo!
Jon Maakested will be gracioulsy filling in for me when I'm gone.
Thanks a bunch Jon.
