The SFLIS Meeting was moved from The Mill to the downtown Godfather's Pizza due to lack of space for the SFLIS group and a couple of other groups also meeting that night at The Mill.
Henry was made God of Sharpie (felt-tipped permanent pens). Marty was made God of Unilateral Adhesive Bonding Device(s) -- you humans call it "tape."
A sign was made and posted at The Mill to point others to Godfather's.
After everyone bought the all-you-can-eat buffet and got situated, the meeting commenced.
Lynda brought and read a couple of interesting items: a UIHC NoonNews and something else. I believe they were circulated, but the Secretary du Jour did not see them.
ICON News:
The Clarion / Hampton Inn made a bid to SFLIS to hold ICON
Sci-Fi Conventions at their facilities. Gregg passed out a map of
the facilities and a cost comparison and pro/con analysis of
the Westfield's offerings and the Hampton/Clarion offerings.
Some discussion and questions were asked about the offer and the
comparisons.
Lynda mentioned there are rooms or all rooms (I was a little
unclear here) at the Clarion/Hampton that had coffeepots,
wardrobe areas (with ironing board, etc.). There are also
whirlpool suites, allergy-free suites (pillows, sheets, etc and
purified running water).
There's also an exercise room with Nordic-Track ExerBikes and other
equipment.
Gregg also circulated a copy of the ICON XXII business cards.
Gregg was noted as saying "I'm confused."
(During this item's discussion.)
