SIF Notes from 1-22-97

Pres Lynda awards godhood to the Cedar Rapids contingent for Pinky and the Brain stuff, and godhood to Galen for varying important treasurer duties and cool things.

Varying university mailbox stuff follows.

March is international woman's month. Simon may have a line on a speaker who may want to participate, and is checking into it.

Budget stuff is fielded by God Galen, lord of the Okane.

Student organization day will be February 11, from 11-2 in the Union. We'll have a table. Jon'll plug Gamicon, Marty'll throw some SWAMP stuff together. Rob'll possibly be there for kicks and other important SIF stuff. If you can come plug SIF, or if you're interested in being recruited, please stop on by.

Soon, a new SWAMP gas.

Pictures and cool SF paraphenalia are welcome at the SIF table.

Galen'll submit our organization recognition form.

This weekend's alternative to the superbowl? Supercon in Rochester. Interested parties should contact Lynda if they want to go.

A costume shindig celebrating Founder's Day is coming up..$25 for nonstudents, $10 for students.

Rob plugs the new Jackie Chan flick. It's cool.

SWAMP is this weekend, Sunday, in the Minnesota room. From 1-10. You know the drill.

Greg will bring copies of the static klingon for those who want it next week.

Folks say the Starship Troopers trailer looks good.
